Hotkeys cmd+E not working to set up or use

Hello,
Unfortunately, I cannot set cmd + E hotkey. I’m using a mac US international keyboard. Was recommended by a mod to open a bug report after he asked me a series of questions. We came down to the conclusion that: we are up to the OS level/keyboard layout, it might be that the events are not being sent properly to Obsidian.

I’m also confused as E is Roman Ascii and mapped to most international Mac keyboards, it’s a standard. Is this a Kanji keyboard?

Nope, not a Kanji

That the correct behavour. So what is you problem?

Yes, that’s correct - however, my mac is not recognizing this and it doesn’t do anything basically
