Additional information

Opening Obsidian, main process will spawn another 3 processes. In the gpu-process, one thread is using 25% CPU (one of 4 cores) in NvMessageBus.dll!releaseMessageBusInterface, even hours after opening Obsidian.

This is related to nVidia drivers. On their forum is a topic “performance-issues-caused-by-nvidia-drivers-configuration”

The same issue I have with VScode, so it is not a Obsidian related issue.

Disabling the HW GPU Acceleration will not work, is even worst.

Updating nVidia Driver from 560.94 to 581.29 → solved the issue.
