Help! My plugin icons don't look right

Hi @Silver – For the journey plugin I’ve struggled to create an icon that works well in light and dark mode. (See this issue for example: Icon · Issue #7 · akaalias/obsidian-journey-plugin · GitHub)

I’m not a designer and don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Is it the mask? Is it the opacity? Is it the color?

I’m using Figma at the moment for exporting to SVG.

Can you help me - maybe with a sample icon asset - to come up with an icon that actually works in Obsidian?

Thank you so much

Looks definitely better now, but it is still a little lighter/darker than the other icons.

Hi! It looks 0.0.7 is your fix, do you still need our help?

It’s easier to help over on GitHub actually. It’s probably something about SVGs. Use currentColor instead of a fixed color should resolve it.

I hope that helps!

Hi and thank you!

I’d never heard of currentColor before. Happy to investigate, and reach out on Github if I continue to have questions.
