Hover the mouse over a node to display the node’s note content, or right-click to have a menu option to display the node’s note content. The note content is displayed on a Canvas, just like the content is displayed when hovering over a function in the code. There is a way to close this canvas. Without closing the canvas, the content on the Canvas of another node can be displayed, so that the differences and relationships between the two parts of notes can be compared more intuitively (this has been displayed on the GraphView ). If the above is not possible, at least when the right page is a GraphView, click on the node and the node content will be displayed on the left page instead of covering the content on the right page.
I hope this feature can be implemented, I really need this way to visually display and compare content.
This is really interesting. As far as I have seen, your idea hasn’t been requested. One difficult design aspect of implementing this would be how to deal with the obscured nodes. Perhaps it would be okay to simply have to collapse the pinned node previews in order to reveal what they blocked. Or, depending on the vault, the graph force settings could make space for these pinned previews. Regardless, this idea has resparked potential hope for the use of Obsidian’s Graph View in ways I once optimistically imagined before more concretely considering the actual logistics. My one concern is the sticky issue of not have a native way to save layouts. Regardless, I think it would be a huge breakthrough for many new and veteran Obsidian users.
