I would find it interesting that we could ‘nest’ cards inside the canvas. For example, I own a card of some theme. Within this theme I would like to do a deepening. I could then create another card inside the first one, so that the two would be interconnected and so I would have the advantage of using the previous card split as another way to extract the subjects.
This can be done right now with groups, but -
This is similar to the idea of stacking cards. Something I was trying to do, but unfortunately canvas can not maintain a stacking order. As soon as you click a card it is brought to the front of the stack.
If you wanted to make your Theme card larger it would move in front of the theme 2 card and you might loose it if you have a lot of cards.
If a nesting or stacking relationship could be added to the canvas it would need to fix this visual “layer” problem as well. Right now there is “bring to front” and “send to back” in the context menu but there needs to be more robust layer function. You could think of it like grouping for layers. Maybe even a full layers panel like design software (photoshop/indesign). But I’d rather have a simple card stacking feature.
Then a notes parent/child link could somehow be added to properties or back links or tags or whatever someone could up with.
