Frontmatter display consistency between platforms

Use case or problem

There is an inconsistency between desktop and iOS apps with frontmatter display. On desktop, with “show frontmatter” turned off, NO frontmatter appears whatsoever. On iOS, the same settings return this:

Proposed solution

I would like to see an option to make the desktop YAML display match iOS. “Minimal metadata” or something like that.

Apologies if this has been address, I did my bestest searching and found nothing.

There’s a bug report about the same or similar problem.

"Show frontmatter" setting not working on Mobile version

Actual result Expected Result: If in options/editor/Show frontmatter is turned off - I expect it to completely hide the Frontmatter section in Reading View (like it does on the desktop version on macOS) What actually happened: If “Show frontmatter” is turned OFF - I still can see the “Metadata” block in Reading View. Ironically, I’d prefer the current “bug” in iOS to propagate. Ultimately, I’m having trouble exposing only tags in the frontmatter. It’s a nice bug. I know metatable plugin kind of does this, but not perfectly.
