I fear that most people in the field of PKM don’t yet grasp the severity of PKM migrations. All tools will die eventually, so one needs to have a solid plan for when that happens. I love Obsidian because it allows me to implement such a strategy, but it’s no failsafe. If I “overformat” and overload my Obsidian with too many plugins, I may suffer a similar fate.
Since, like many here, I was bitten by the Evernote → Obsidian bug, I was determined not to fall into the same trap again. But I learned my lesson and detailed my journey here: The Migration - by Dennis Nehrenheim M.Sc.
