Freezes after indexing starts (no plugins, linted file names and characters to avoid problems)

What I’m trying to do

Start Obsidian (Linux) with no plugins. Freezes while indexing, after reaching 700-800 files indexed.

Things I have tried

  • removing all plugins
  • linting file names and characters in all .md files in vault

I’ve been using Obsidian for 2 years. I understand the app. Searched for a lot of solutions. Posting this as a last resort.

Uninstall your current Obsidian app and install a fresh copy, if you did update with the auto update mechanism integrated into Obsidian.

Otherwise, try to install an older version of Obsidian that works for you.
One or two versions back shouldn’t throw you back to “stone age”, so to say.
