Four finger swipe left pastes an s

Gnome 48 Voyager Linux. All software up to date

So this is weird. If I use 4 finder swipe to change workspace to the left, an ‘s’ is pasted into where ever the cursor is and only in obsidian. If I 4 finger swipe to the right or cntl-alt-arrow to change work space, no ‘s’ is pasted.
