Use case or problem
In bases with a lot of files, the new sort by feature is amazing, but doesn’t resolve the issue of having to scroll through a long list to reach a certain topic (defined by the sort by feature).
Proposed solution
Make each sort by header foldable.
The default fold state is something to think about, as my personal taste would be to have them all folded by default, someone else might prefer another state.
Remembering the fold state is also something to think about.
But in general, having such a feature organizes the base view very well IMHO.
