“Focus on last note” not focusing on a different note

Hey everyone,

I just went to set my hot key for “Focus on last note” so I could “Ctrl + Tab” like I do on Firefox, but the command does not seem to do anything, either when a hotkey is assigned, or when the command is activated directly from the Command Palette. Am I misunderstanding what this command does?

Thanks,

Gus

Steps to reproduce

To recreate, create a new vault, create one note Called Note 1. Create a second note called Note 2. With both notes open and Note 2 selected, open the Command Palette, type “focus on last note” and hit enter.

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Yes, tried in a new sandbox vault.

Expected result

I would expect to see the note switch from Note 2 back to Note 1, but instead, nothing happens.

Actual result

No observed result.

Additional information

Focus on last note is not for switching tabs. It’s for moving the focus from other parts of UI back to the editor.

Ah, I see. Thank you. Seems like I was looking for “Go to last tab”.

EDIT: Actually, it seems like this just takes me to the tab on the furtherest right. Is there a way to go to the last active tab/note?
