Additional cursors can’t be placed on blank lines

It’s difficult to place an additional cursor at the end of a line

If you click beyond the end of a line, it tends to place the cursor somewhere in the middle of the text in that line rather than at the end
Licat is aware of this issue, but I’m adding it as a bug report here so it can be tracked.
I’m noticing this behavior on macOS—please report whether or not you’re experiencing the same bug on other operating systems in the comments below.
