First blockqoted line in lists is rendered incorrectly

I haven’t seen this example before, but it looks good in Reading view (right):

Are >quotes supposed to work in Lists in LP? In Reader mode they render in the quote styling but in LP they just stay showing the “>” in front of the quoted text. Here is what I mean. LP vs Reader view. The list item doesn’t render the quote in LP (first screenshot).
