Use case or problem
When using Obsidian, often I will edit a note and then reflexively close Obsidian before it finishes syncing. This means the edit is delayed, causes conflicts, or in rare cases could even be lost forever.
If I close the Obsidian window, Obsidian should finish syncing, then exit. It shouldn’t cancel the sync.
This applies to desktop versions as well as mobile.
Side note - other note-taking platforms, as well as Google Docs, don’t have this problem. So it’s clearly possible to solve.
Current workaround (optional)
The workaround is to always remember to check that sync has finished by looking for the green checkmark before closing Obsidian.
