Filtering the content of the pull-down lists in Frontmatter editor?

Use case or problem

When assigning links in Frontmatter editor (File Properties) to other documents, I’m overwhelmed by the amount of suggestion, that likely is not of relevance to my document.

Proposed solution

Lets have a filtering mechanism for the built-in lookup function of Frontmatter editor. The simplest way of filtering could be for the lookup function to only suggest links that is in same path or above the document (North/south) and NOT a global available notes as it is now.

Current workaround (optional)

No workaround atm.

Detailed information

From Graphics below , When I start my meeting notes 020224 under Customer B, it would sure be nice, if Obsidian could be configured to only show Properties content from within Customer B, here it shows content also from Customer A.

I have several Properties I tie to every single meeting like Participants, Knowledge on topic, Meetings leading up to this, TODOs etc. All the Properties is essentially other notes I link to, for the Local Graph to be very valuable. So each participant has his/her own note.

Downside is that the list that gets suggested is VERY long, and contains information from other Customers, that the note I’m currently working on. I expect that other Obsidian users, can Substitue Customer with whatever they are trying to achieve

I just start typing a few letters and it’s filtered to those. BTW, if you’ve already entered the customer as a link previously in the participant field, there is no need to start with [[, which is what brings up all notes. Just clicking inside the property field brings up a much shorter list of previously used values in that particular field. So if the link to Louise is already among those, I’d type L instead of [[ and you’ll get a much shorter list.
