In a note, paste an image.
Rename the pasted image to include a # character
- The image embed stops working
- The file is not visible in the file explorer

Also, isn’t that to be expected? Maybe this is OS-dependent, but these characters are not allowed. You won’t be able to reply to this, clehene, but I don’t think this is a bug.
Obsidian uses # to indicate a heading link/embed. So an embed ![[Exam#ple.jpeg]] is telling Obsidian to embed the heading “ple.jpeg” from a note named “Exam”.
Why the file disappears from the file browser, I don’t know.
