Drag and drop of files and folders has always been a two click process on iOS, first press opens a menu and second press allows drag and drop into another folder. Drag and drop has ceased working and only opens the menu. Drag and drop tested on iPad and it continues to work.
The ability to drag and drop a file or folder into another folder
Actual result
The menu opens each time instead of allowing drag and drop on the second time.

I’ve been experiencing this too (including it still working on iPad); I’m not on 1.6 yet so will see how it goes then. The description of how it used to work isn’t familiar to me — I was vaguely under the impression I had to press for the right length of time or something.
I used to be able to select-and-hold on a file, while using the phone version, to ‘select’ it so that I could then drag it somewhere else (such as into a new folder). Now, it instead opens up the menu to make a new tab, bookmark, etc.
I did the mobile alternative with restricted mode, yes.
Expected result
The file gets selected and can be dragged.
Actual result
The file opens up a menu.

I have two androids, and this is happening too, with only one device (Samsung Note 10 Lite), even though it is the same Obsidian version (1.6.3) on both.
On Samsung A32 is working fine.
Just dropping in to say I’m having the same issue on iOS 17.5.1. It worked fine and then I got a new phone and now it won’t let me drag and drop— I’ve tried all the stuff with community plugins and restricted mode and everything and it just pulls up the menu. I just sent an email to support about it (I didn’t realize support wasn’t for issues like that) but if you guys are already looking into it you can disregard it.
• Delete all plugins
• Create an empty vault
• Uninstall and install again
• Delete cache
• Delete data
• Install old versions
Android WebView, on both Note 10 Lite and A32 Android are in the version 126.0.6478.71: https://imgur.com/a/BjibSDe
I noticed that it started when I updated the Note 10 Lite in February. Oddly, this didn’t happen with the A32, even with the most recent update in April.
At first I thought that it was a bug, but I’m guessing that is something with Android.
I noticed that another plugin that require Drag and Drop stopped working too (Outliner).
Dragging and Dropping rows and columns on tables works, though.
I will create a new post on this matter instead of hijacking this one since they use iPhone.
It’s still not working for me. Drag and drop still opens the menu.
Obviously it’s not like, urgent or anything, I’m sure you guys have more pressing issues like syncing and stuff, but just bumping to let you know that I’m still having this issue.
Yes.
I I first deactivated my plugins and themes in my main vault. No changes.
I created a new vault and tried dragging blank notes and notes with content (text). It doesn’t work.
I cleared the app cache. No change.
I uninstalled and reinstalled, repeated the first and second test. No change.
I tried changing the app’s file path and creating a new vault. No results.
Expected result
Drag my notes manually.
Actual result
When trying to drag, it just opens the context menu.

Additional information
I installed the app on another phone, and the drag function works fine. I didn’t try to install any plugins.
Same here, in previous versions of Obsidian v.1.6.7, dragging wasn’t a problem. Dragging on mobile (phone in my case) suddenly stopped working.
Tested without CSS, plugins and themes on a default vault.

Obsidian version: 1.6.7 (149)
API version: v1.6.6

additional info
Also re-installing Obsidian version: 1.6.7 doesn’t resolve the issue.
I always download Obsidian for mobile from official source, https://obsidian.md/
Notes
I don’t know how dragging is implemented in Obsidian mobile, however there are different places where dragging on mobile is still possible, like:
dragging table rows/ columns works
dragging properties rows works
So, dragging isn’t broken everywhere, only for files and folders in the folder tree and trees sharing the same code, like for example, the outliner (again, dragging isn’t possible)
