File deleted while writing it on mobile app

What I’m trying to do

Write a document

Things I have tried

I’m posting here because I can’t reproduce what happened, but I was writing a file on my phone, and I hadn’t changed it from Untitled, and after I got a decent amount into it, the page disappeared and I was looking at a file I had open previously. Forward and back buttons didn’t help. I couldn’t find it in recent files. It was just gone, lost to history. I don’t know if it was Obsidian or make.md or another plug-in, but this is simply unacceptable and I want to post here for record, if nothing else, and also because I’m upset.

For clarification, I’m posting here instead of in bug reports because I can’t reproduce what happened.

I’d try the

core plugin on the phone to try and recover a previous version of the note.

Thank you so much. That worked. However it still seems like a bug that severely affects the usability of the app for those who don’t have or don’t know about file recovery. For some reason the file didn’t save, and then for some reason it vanished.

This can happen if a sync service removes or alters the note and/or content under Obsidian’s nose. iCloud Drive (on iOS/iPadOS) is a frequent offender.
