Fails to load vault with "Error: File system operation timed out"

This issue was closed due to lack of activity, but several users are now experiencing this pain:

Obsidian just suddenly failed at loading my vault. It can load other vaults just fine, and I can load it on my phone, just not on my Macbook. I’ve run through the trouble shooting, but no luck.

I don’t have much idea on how to debug this :sweat_smile:, other than moving the vault’s config folder (.obsidian) out of problematic vault (while Obsidian is closed) and try to re-open it… but I’m still going to ask:

Where is the problematic vault located on your Mac ? :blush:
What service do you use to sync this vault across devices ?
