When creating a link to a .md file sharing the same name as an extensionless file, the extensionless file is prioritised over the Markdown file and is opened in the default text editor. This is not what I expected to happen, but if this is intended behaviour, feel free to close the bug ofc.
This was discovered as part of an issue for my plugin which uses openLinkText, but it is reproducible merely by using links on a vanilla Obsidian vault so I have decided to report it here.
Steps to reproduce
- Open sandbox vault
- Create a file in the OS file browser without an extension, but with the same name as a Markdown note
- Link to said note
- Click the link

The note is opened in Obsidian.
Actual result
The external file is opened in the OS text editor.
