Exporting Text from iPhone to Obsidian in markdown

Things I have tried

I’ve tried to export text (e.g., highlights from a webpage or info from a podcast) from my iPhone 12 to obsidian using Shortcuts app. It seemed to save only in .txt and not markdown.

What I’m trying to do is to get the text exported in markdown

I feel like I’m missing something straightforward. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know, I don’t think you are missing anything straightforward. I usually copy and paste but would be interested in that shortcut if you figure it out. Thanks for posting this! Good luck!

Maybe using iOS shortcuts to save webpage content to markdown file or similar. I don’t know how to do it. Search here: iOS Shortcuts - Share your ideas!
