To prevent a template to show up during a search while adding links to a note, surround the note-link in the template with apostrophe and double quotes. Like this:
type: <% '"[[Discipline]]"' %>
up: <% '"[[Physics]]"' %>
Adding the link in this way in templates will hide them from appearing while quick adding links to a note.
