Error when Opening Obsidian

Steps to reproduce

  1. Launch Obsidian and get error message

An error occurred while loading Obsidian. Error: File system operation timed out

Option for “Reload app” or “Open another vault”

Expected result

Obsidian Opens correctly

Actual result

Obsidian does not load my vault

Environment

  • Operating system: Windows 10
  • Obsidian version: v0.12.19

where do you store your files? do you use any sync solution?

Make a backup copy of your vault.
Go in the obsidian vault, and delete the .obsidian subdirectory. Try to start obsidian and see if it works (you’ll loose all your settings).
