Equal sign will not type in Obsidian

Things I have tried

I’m on Fedora Linux. = sign works everywhere but this program. I’ve disabled all the community plugins. Rebooted.
I’ve tried the appimage and snap
Any help appreciated!

I’m running Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS, and the = key is working fine for me in Obsidian.

Some troubleshooting questions:

  • Is it just the = glyph, or does the keyboard key not work?
    • Does + (SHIFT+=) work?
    • CTRL+= to increase font size?
  • Can you paste a = character into an Obsidian doc?
  • Does it work in the Sandbox vault? (From the question mark button in the lower left)
