Entire workspace placed low in the Obsidian window

Once you’ve done the above, delete everything above this line.

Steps to reproduce

After initial synced vault setup with and closing out obsidian, restarting Obsidian (opening a vault)

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Y

Expected result

The workspace of the vault filling up the Obsidian program window

Actual result

There is an empty space at the top portion of the program window above the rest of the workspace, obscuring the elements that “sank” below the bottom of the window. This empty space can sometimes be about 50%, sometimes 95% of the window height

Additional information

Tried

  • reinstalling Obsidian
  • uninstalling obsidian, deleting obsidian folders in user’s roaming, local folder, and then reinstalling

Do you have the Typewriter Mode or Typewriter Scroll plugin installed?

If not, do you still have the issue in restricted mode using the default theme with all css snippets disabled?

Have you tried disabling this?

Does it happen in the sandbox vault?

Hi, I have tried it with sandbox mode, but it still happened (the screenshot was of sandbox mode)
However after using the command pallete shortcut to access the settings page, I managed to change the theme to default. This makes the shifted workspace problem go away

However the interface is still mangled even with the default theme and community plugins disabled:

Oddly enough, then launching sandbox from this point gives a worse outcome. The workspace is once again pushed vertically down halfway across the window. Restarting and reloading does not change this:

We believe that you have a corrupted installation of obsidian.
My advise is to remove obsidian from AppData/Roaming/Obsidian and `AppData/Local/Obsidian. or wherever else you installed it.

Download obsidian from the website and reinstall it.

If it doesn’t work, we do not know how to help you. SOrry!
