The [[ auto-complete list for internal links could respond to modifier keys to allow additional options, eg.

  • Enter – insert the internal link (just as it works now)
  • Shift-Enter – insert as en embed link (ie. add ! in front)
  • Cmd-Enter – insert the content of the linked file instead of creating a link
