Following is what I request.
Displaying multi-line math equations
As a new user, I wish to display multi-line math equations with double dollar signs, like this:
$$ a\\ b $$
It will display as:
a
b
This is supported in many markdown editors such as Typora, Quiver, Leanote… instead of using the align or eqnarray environment. Even LaTex displays multi-line math equations with double dollar signs. Using environment is rather inconvenient.
What I have tried
The following is also not supported:
\[ a\\ b \]
