What I’m trying to do
I’m creating some folders (e.g. an inbox folder) that can be empty at times (e.g. after processing). Whenever I close Obsidian and these folders are empty, the next time I open Obsidian the folders have been removed from the file system.
I am syncing between an Android mobile, a Windows laptop and a MacBook. To my knowledge, none of them have settings to automatically delete empty folders.
Things I have tried

I have found this closed thread in the forum (https://forum.obsidian.md/t/empty-folders-disappear-when-reopening-obsidian/63884), but the difference is that the poster didn’t have the folders deleted, only disappeared in the Obsidian UI. In my case the empty folders are removed.

As a workaround, I have created an empty note in these folders, but this is not ideal.
Thank you for reading and I hope someone can help me!
