This APP!

Just created my first vault & first files! Sweet. Feels amazing!

Now I would like to embed file1 in file2 ![[file1]] would be the correct syntax I suppose?!

But nothing happens. Or do embeds only work in preview mode?

That’s correct. You can only view the embed in preview mode right now. Eventually, Obsidian will have a more complex editor (WYSIWYG) that will allow you to see embeds as you edit the note.

For now, most users will have a note open in both edit mode and preview mode side-by-side. You can use the linked panes features so they scroll in sync.
