What I’m trying to do
I have a vault where several notes have images embedded using URLs to the image file, that way if a newer version of the image is uploaded, it will reflect the new image the next time I open the vault.
For some reason, Obsidian continues to show older versions of the images. If I copy and paste the URL I’m using into my web browser, I get the newer/intended image. Similarly, if I make an inconsequential edit to the URL, such as changing from https:// to http://, Obsidian loads the intended image.
Things I have tried
I’ve tried searching around for some sort of local cache, either for the vault or Obsidian as a whole, but haven’t been able to find anything. Other forum posts with similar questions suggest that Obsidian only stores images in cache while the Vault is open, and that closing/relaunching Obsidian should load the new images, but this has persisted for multiple weeks.
I do have the Vault in question backed up online so that it can be accessed from multiple computers, and the images appear to update fine on my home Desktop, which leads me to believe Obsidian on my laptop is caching the old images somewhere.
