Now that the Better PDF plugin no longer works and Obsidian is using PDF.js, embedding single or a range of pages and being able to crop them in an Obsidian page would be a very useful core feature (I was using it a lot with Better PDF).

+1 to this. Embedding the full PDF (often hundreds of pages for me) is overkill and adds unnecessary performance overhead when you only need a single page or a handful of pages.
