Edit transcluded (embedded) notes (blocks) in place (likely requires WYSWYG first)

I’ll add my voice to those wanting this feature. I use Obsidian for (amongst many, many, other things) for writing books.

Having the ability to have each chapter, or even smaller segments, all in a single editable view would be incredibly helpful!

I’ve tried a number workarounds, but nothing has been reliable as yet.

As another person mentioned above, having multiple types of checklists in a single view, and able to edit them would also solve a lot of problems.

Or, as another helpful use case, I track various health indicators, and would love to keep each table, along with it’s chart-rendering code, in a separate file, while still being able to update them all without needing to open a bunch of different files.

The use cases are endless, and this really would be a massive win for Obsidian, especially if you are comparing it to other tools which have been able to do this for a decade or longer.

Block Link Plus has redesigned the inline edit functionality, porting related code from sync-embeds. It’s currently testing well, and feedback is welcome from anyone who needs this feature.

A post was merged into an existing topic: Block Link Plus — block links, multi-line ranges, inline edit, and an outliner workflow

This is a truly critical modern feature that can significantly reduce friction.
