Dynamic templates x Daily Notes plugins not interacting as expected

Steps to reproduce

  1. Add {{date}} or {{time}} text to daily note template file.

  2. Click the ‘daily note’ icon in the sidebar.

Expected result

{{date}} text is replaced by today’s date, e.g. “This is the daily note for Monday, August 24.”"

Actual result

Curly brackets remain in the newly created daily note, e.g. “This is the daily note for {{date}}”

Environment

  • Operating system: Mac OS
  • Obsidian version: v0.8.5

the template plugin and the daily note plugin are two separate things. Open a feature request

Not sure if you opened a feature request. But we will implement this shortly.
