Duplicate Document Creation / Title Errrs

Steps to reproduce

  1. create a document with an ’ in the title. and is “Thel 'Vadam” or “bob’s List”
    as long as it has the ’ character any where in the document title.
  2. save and close the doc and vault.
  3. reopen the vault.

Expected result

ideally the vault would have a document with the ’ in the title
like “bob’s list” or “Thel 'Vadam”

Actual result

at this point something seems to change ’ to _
and if that page that you have created has any links from other documents to it it will now create a second Blank page for the ’ doc and all of your info will but saved in the _ doc.
so “Bob’s” list is blank or not created and all the links go nowhere.
and “Bob_s List” now exists with all of the data.
sometimes it creates more than 1 doc.

works for me. It’s some other software or your OS that is changing the filename.
