When moving text by Drag and Drop in the edit mode from one position to another position within the same document, the original text remains; it is not moved, but copied and moved.
I can’t reproduce. Please post a screen recording and also please remember use default css and no third party plugins
Obsidian has the same behavior when dragging and dropping text on my Windows 10 system. I mark a piece of text or a line of text and when I click the marked text and drop it somewhere else, the original text remains. No external plugins or custom css. Attached is a screen recording.
