I use Obsidian to manage a lot of PDF documents and images that I need to frequently send to others via email, etc.
For example, I store a copy of my national photo ID, which I often need to email or upload to some website.
It’s currently really easy to drag and drop files into Obsidian, but doing it the other way (e.g., to a Chrome tab with an open Gmail document) is a real pain - I need to click through to the file, and then hit the menu, click on “Reveal in ”, then drag and drop from there. It’s an even bigger pain for multiple related files (I have notes that have links to a bunch of files I usually need to send together, and I need to do this individually for each file).
It would be great if Obsidian could support drag and drop to external applications, by dragging the link to the file in an existing note. This way I could drag and drop a bunch of documents one after the other with ease.
