"Download attachments for the current file" command deletes some parts of Properties, embeds image in odd location

Once you’ve done the above, delete everything above this line.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Ensure the Properties core plugin is enabled and Properties are visible in notes
  2. Using Obsidian Web Clipper extension in Safari, clip a web page that contains one or more images using the Default clipper template. I used https://www.imdb.com/title/tt32421227
    • Ensure the Default clipper template contains Properties
  3. Select the Add to Obsidian button to add the newly-clipped page as a note to Obsidian.
  4. Once the note opens in Obsidian, confirm that images are present in the note.
  5. Trigger the Download attachments for the current file command via the Command Palette
  6. Select the image to download (it should be selected by default).
  7. Select the Download button.

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Yes

Expected result

I expect the externally embedded image on the page will be downloaded to my vault and the image’s external embed link will be replaced by an internal embed link in the same location in the note.

Actual result

The externally embedded image was downloaded to my vault and the external embed link was removed, but some of the note’s Properties were deleted, and the image’s internal embed link was placed in the Properties in such a location that rendered the Properties invalid.

Download and reinstall obsidian. Make sure you are running 1.9.6. try again.

Ah good catch. Completed all steps you suggested. No change - issue persists.

I will test tomorrow morning
