I no longer want to display certain links in an input field, e.g., for employees who have left the company.
I want to restrict the selection in an input field that links to other pages (in this case, other people) and no longer display some people without having to delete them.
The dropdown menu is populated from the values that the property “Wer” has in any other file in the vault.
So a possible idea is to review the notes that have a field “Wer” containing the name of a person who no longer works in the company, and rename that property to, for example, “Ehemalig” or “Archiviert”, or any other term you consider more appropriate (I don’t speak German, so please feel free to adjust to the most natural wording).
thank you for your reply! I’ve been thinking about this again. Do you know of a way I can move the approx. 200 files into a folder in one go? I would then like to move them into a separate vault, which I would then use as an archive…
You can use your operating system’s file manager (Windows Explorer. Finder, etc.).
@CawlinTeffid .. but then obsidian has to reindex, isn’t it ?
I’ve never noticed any extra indexing when I did it.
