You need to enable the Properties view Obsidian core plugin in the settings (somewhere within Core plugins) …

This will give you access, in the command palette (which you can open by hitting cmd/ctrl + p), to a command titled:

Properties view: Show file properties

… if you select it, it’ll add the File properties pane in the right sidebar

After that, if you want to, in Obsidian’s settings, under Editor > Display section > Properties in document, you can select the Hidden option so Properties will only be displayed in the File properties pane in the sidebar
