Greetings! I made an account and I am using Obsidian. I tried the Discord link but it is expired and I would like to join.

If it doesn’t work for you, then what happens: blank screen, the page says the invite is expired, …?
It says the invite may be expired or I may not have permission to join when I try to click on the link.
That can happen when you’ve reached the max number of servers Discord lets you join. Also can happen when you’ve been banned from a server.
Those are all the guesses I have. I logged out, clicked the link, and was served the usual “you’ve been invited” page.

Still no go. Never been banned from a discord server before and Im a member of 18 servers. Still get the same message that Invite Invalid. This invite may be expired, or you might not have permission to join. I may have to delete cache and stuff too try again. Thanks anyway.
Tried again after 5 days. I have cleared browser cashe even. I still get: Your invite link may be expired/may not have permission to join. And I’ve never been banned from any Discord server. Tried on both Discord links when I am logged in on the main web page.
Not guaranteed to make a difference since we don’t know the cause, but maybe:
- try VPNing then following the invite link.
- if you have access to an invite to some other server you don’t yet belong to, see whether the joining issue is isolated to Obsidian’s.

In addition to the other suggestions, can you try on a different device? e.g., the official Discord app on a mobile device vs. a desktop browser, etc.
Also, and probably not from what’s been mentioned so far, but had you joined the Obsidian OMG server at any time in the past?
Some people have their accounts hacked, the bots spew spam into multiple servers, they are banned from multiple servers but don’t realize it once they recover their account (if they ever do).
I’ve never joined the server in the past. I use strictly my desktop, so I may have to try it via phone. I’ve never used a VPN and I’m way under the server count on Discord. It’s probably something in my settings. I use Firefox and maybe a plugin is conflicting??? I’ve let go and rejoined another discord server without issues to test. I’ll keep trying and thanks for the advice. Cheers!
