Disable “Switcher” in core plugins while show many error log in Console

It can be reproducible in the sandbox vault.

  • Disable “Switcher” core plugin
  • Reboot Obsidian
  • Watch logs in Console

I think if user can disable it, user don’t need error logs.

Could you provide a screenshot of the errors you are seeing? It sounds like they might be coming from a plugin. I don’t see any errors when disabling Quick Switcher.

This error while be show many times when start。

Do this:

  • Open new Sandbox vault from Help button
  • Disable “Switcher”
  • Close Sandbox, and restart it from Vault List(if from help button,it be reset)
  • Open Console

I was able to reproduce this without any community plugins installed.

(by the way, I also see the same error when starting up a vault with Hover Editor 0.11.15 installed)

So basically, this error is caused by the onOpen method of the “empty” view executing the following when quick switcher is disabled.

app.hotkeyManager.printHotkeyForCommand('switcher:open')

So you don’t need to reboot the vault to see this error. You can see it just by closing all tabs (or opening a new empty tab) after disabling quick switcher.

Okay, thanks. This was fixed in Obsidian v1.5.0, which is still Insider-only.
