Disable hover page preview for editing view?

I like the “hold CMD to preview” behavior but I wish I could disable the hover preview in the editing view when hovering any link? Right now it displays the hover preview even without holding CMD for the editing view. Is this normal?

Any way to disable the hover preview by default and just keep it for when I’m holding CMD?

The page preview preferences are only for when CMD is being held.

Thanks!

It’s so weird. It stopped doing it by default after toggling stuff on/off with the preferences. Now it has the behavior I wanted. I really don’t know why this happened.

Oh that’s weird.

In your test where it was doing it without CMD, was there any chance it was a Dataview query? Because I notice Dataview links auto-preview, even if you aren’t holding CMD.

I ended up disabling the plugin because the popup kept blocking things I was trying to do, like open a few links from a list of links. (In Dataview).

Anyway, I’m keeping it turned off. I rarely find the preview useful. But I often find it blocks my view. It would be cool if you could configure where it showed, AWAY from the current mouse location.

It was with every links including Dataview :person_shrugging: really don’t know why and how it stopped. Right now it doesn’t even auto-show for dataview links

I agree that it should be more configurable because it can be useful sometimes but most times it’s not.

Having to hold CMD for it to show is a good compromise IMO.
