Disable auto-save or change frequency

So for those of us finding cheap workarounds, it might be considered a bit disrespectful to them

The devs are fine with people using other sync solutions. As far as I know that’s how they expect most people to roll.

Also, does anyone know if the official Obsidian Sync follows the same frequency as local saves?

I believe so. If I add a character and wait, the sync icon activates within a few seconds.

And also, why does the program give you the option of choosing a hotkey to save if it’s going to autosave every 2 seconds anyway?

I’ve always found this kind of funny. Maybe it feels weird to not implement it; maybe it’s hard to remove from Electron; maybe it’s a vestige of the app’s early days; maybe it’s meant to comfort people who still compulsively press Ctrl+S.
