Use case or problem

In a nuthshell: Trying to explore the contents of a directory buried deep within my vault.

The long version: I have a very extensive directory structure within my vault. I frequently want to peruse all the files in a particular directory (many of which aren’t markdown files). At present, that requires a lot of scrolling and clicking. Thus, I’d like to be able to search for the directory I’m looking for and navigate there directly.

Proposed solution

In a nutshell: Add a search icon to the right of the Expand All icon when the Folder option is selected for the left side panel or, alternatively, add a Include Directories option within the existing search tool.

This is already possible using the path: search operator

As a short hand, you can use “Search in folder” to automatically create the path search query.

Doh! Thanks so much. I was familiar with the path option but, because I rarely use it, I didn’t think of using it to search for directories. Thank you!
