I don’t know if this would be worth it, but it’s inspired by the “Lazy Plugin Loader” plugin, which selectively delays the loading of community plugins.
Use case or problem
Problem: Slow startup. Startup takes a few seconds, even with community plugins disabled.
Potential improvement: In restricted mode on Android, if I turn off most of the core plugins I get roughly a half second improvement in startup speed. (I didn’t risk turning off sync or file recovery, which could have increased the saving.)
Proposed solution
Delay loading of some core plugins.
The saving probably doesn’t to justify giving user control of the delay for each plugin. But building in a delay of (say) 1 second for most plugins to load could speed up the loading of the most fundamental features – a note to write in and a quick switcher to start navigating.
