Deep Mind

Hello Obsidian Community,
I hope you are all doing well! I’ve been using Obsidian for quite some time
now, and I love how it enables us to organize and connect our thoughts,
making it the perfect personal knowledge base and note-taking software.
Today, I’d like to propose a new feature that I believe will significantly
enhance our Obsidian experience: the “Deep Mind” personal notion and
idea vault.

Deep Mind is a dedicated space within Obsidian that allows users to store,
categorize, and analyze their fleeting thoughts, notions, and ideas. It’s
designed to help you make better sense of your thoughts over time and
easily retrieve the most valuable conclusions.

Key Features:

  1. Idea Capture: Quickly add small ideas or thoughts to Deep Mind, which
can be as brief or as detailed as you like.
  2. Custom and Automatic Tagging: Tag your ideas manually or let Deep
Mind’s AI-based system generate tags for you, ensuring a more
    comprehensive and organized idea vault.
  3. Time-based Analysis: Track your ideas and notions over a specific time
period (e.g., a month) and see how they evolve or change.
  4. Smart Search: Query Deep Mind for specific tags or keywords, and the
system will retrieve the most important conclusions and insights from
your thoughts, allowing you to easily review and analyze your ideas
    over time.

Use Case Example: Imagine you’re tracking the value of a particular stock
over a month, and each day, you add new thoughts and ideas about it to
Deep Mind. When you want to review your insights, you can run a search
within Deep Mind using relevant tags or keywords. The system will then
return a summary of your most important conclusions, helping you make
more informed decisions.

In conclusion, the Deep Mind personal notion and idea vault can be a
valuable addition to Obsidian, offering users a more efficient way to
capture, organize, and analyze their thoughts. It leverages the power of AI
to provide an automatic tagging system, making it easier to categorize
ideas and retrieve meaningful insights over time. I genuinely believe that
this feature will greatly benefit the Obsidian community, and I would love to
hear your thoughts, suggestions, or concerns.
Thank you for your time, and I’m looking forward to your feedback!

Best regards,
Martin
