What I’m trying to do

I’m playing around with dataview and tasks, going from a youtube tutorial, and from what I understand, when you click on the checkbox in the rendered dataview, it should update the original. but there seems to be no relation between the two. Here are screenshots of my edit and preview modes. (these are on the same page, could that be the problem?)

Not the normal behavior. Maybe some issues with the new live preview version.

For example, if you enable “automatic task completion” in settings > dataview, it works bad (a mess) with the new version.

It’s necessary to give time to obsidian and plugins…

You can disable the new live preview in Settings > Editor > General and enable “Use legacy editor”. Make a test with this option enable and check the tasks behavior.
