Dataview query retrieving mmddyy date from file property and displaying file list by month name

Hi! First post here. Im a photographer and im trying to list all weddings from august. Im using file property for event date, customer name, etc. But i cant find the way to retrieve the date property and list files by month

Things I have tried

Im kinda new to dataview so any help would be greatly appreciated
