When I work on the Daily Note on my first device, back it up using the community plugin ‘Remotely Save’, and open my second device with Obsidian (same plugins as the first device), the Daily Note I made on the first device does not load. Worse, after the Remotely Save plugin runs, the daily note gets deleted from my Vault.
I suspect this is because the second device opens the daily note on startup, which is empty but that daily note is more recent than the filled daily note from the first device. So, Remotely Save on the second device thinks it should overwrite the daily note with the empty daily note from the second device.
What I’m trying to do
I am using the Core plugin: Daily Note
- With the setting enabled: ‘open daily note on startup’.
- With a Template to load into the daily note.
I am using the community plugin: Remotely Save.
I am using Obsidian on three devices, one Macbook, one Windows laptop and one Android mobile. In the example above I mentioned only two devices, but all three devices show the same behavior.
Things I have tried
First, I have turned off the template in the daily note, which did not seem to solve it. Turning off the ‘load daily note on startup’ seems to have solved it.
