I’m curious if the plugin API will support custom views within the multi-pane layout. For example, there are several requests for features like tables, kanban boards, and cards that would show multiple notes in a view. Will the plugin API allow us to query our notes and then view results with custom HTML/CSS?

I would really hope this would be the case. Of course everything is still core at the moment, but the Graph View is basically this AFAIK (a custom view with its own pane querying notes).

Apart from fancy views like you mention, people could theoretically build their own editor or preview plugins…

This question is related to this one in terms of defining the boundaries of what plugins will be able to do.

I agree with @death.au, I think this should be supported.
